"Exploring students gain inside on KNOW YOUR ARMY program "
In an effort to foster a deeper understanding of the nation's Armed forces 117 students of class IX of Lucknow Public School, South City, along with 6 teachers visited Sena Khel Parisar on 5th January 2023, to witness the exhibition organized by the Indian Army named 'Know your Army'.The initiative aimed at bridging the gap between Civilians and the military provided an immersive experience for the students to witness the dedication, discipline, arms and ammunition, and sacrifices of the men and women in uniform.A small museum displayed old weapons, pistols, and cannons used in the wars.
The 'Know Your Army' program succeeded in fostering a sense of patriotism and appreciation among the students. The initiative organizers expressed their hope that such experiences would inspire the younger generation to recognize the significance of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation's integrity and security.
‘A day of fun and frolic with Santa’
This Christmas, the essence of bliss filled the LPS South-city branch, which held its ' Annual Fete’ on 25th December 2023(Monday) from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm.The premises of the school resounded with zeal, providing an opportunity for the effervescent gathering to enjoy their hearts. Under the theme of Christmas, the school was adorned in white & red, adding to the festive spirit.The foodies relished the food of their choice with all the stalls that had been set up & the game enthusiasts satisfied their animated spirits at the varied game stalls. Moreover, to ensure that the tiny tots did not feel left out, exotic swings were set up for them. Besides this, an announcement of lucky draw winners was a major highlight of the event.The enthralling day that witnessed the congregation of not only the students but also former students, teachers & parents reached its culmination with a sense of satisfaction & triumph owing to all the joy it brought to everyone who was a part of it.
Lastly, Director Ma’am Ms.Rashmi Pathak commended everyone for making this endeavor such a colossal success.
Infused with immense enthusiasm, Lucknow Public School orchestrated a dynamic two-day Inter-Branch Athletic Meet (Under 19) at the sprawling playground of its South City branch from December 29th to December 30th, 2023. Seven branches, including LPS Sector-D, Sector-I, Jankipuram, South City, and Eldeco, collaborated to make this event a resounding success.The inaugural ceremony kicked off at 11:00 a.m. with an impressive march past drill, followed by an inspirational address from Principal Mr. Shekhar Sharma (South City branch) to the athletes. Rupali Negi, the sports captain of South City, administered the oath, officially declaring the meet open.A diverse array of athletic events unfolded, including 800m (final) for girls and boys, 60m (Heats), shotput (final), long jump (final), 4x100m relay (Heats) for girls and boys, and more. Post-lunch sessions featured events like 400m (Heats), high jump (final) for girls and boys, and 4x200m relay (Heats) for boys and girls.
The following day witnessed competitions such as 200m low hurdles (Heats) for girls and boys, triple jump (final) for girls and boys, 60m (final) for girls and boys, javelin throw (final) for girls, 400m (final) for boys and girls, and 4x100m Mix Relay. The post-lunch schedule included 200m hurdle (final) for boys and girls, discus (final) for boys and girls, and 200m final for boys and girls.The highlight of the program was the 'Prize Distribution' ceremony, where outstanding achievements were acknowledged. Yashika Singh from the South City Branch secured the title of Best Athlete Girl, while Arman Ali from the same branch earned the distinction of Best Athlete Boy. South City Branch dominated in Girls Championship, Boys Championship, and Overall Championship categories, claiming well-deserved trophies. The event concluded with the 'Closing March Past,' leaving an indelible mark of inspiration. May the accomplishments of these exceptional athletes serve as a testament that with unwavering optimism and passion for their goals, nothing is beyond reach.

A special assembly on Gurpurab was conducted on 29th November ( Wednesday) in the premises of LPS , Primary Wing, South City to mark the birth anniversary of the first Guru of Sikhs: Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The Assembly commenced with a morning prayer, followed by the thought of the day. A mesmerizing shabad rendered by the students of classes III to V left the audience spell bound. The students of class II shed lights on the significance of Gurpurab and various rituals associated with the festival. Students of Pre- Primary enchanted the Mool Mantra and also explained its meaning .It actually inculcated the feeling of 'WE ALL ARE ONE' i .e also the main message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji .
Diwali is the religious festival represents the triumphs of good over evil and light over darkness. The exhilaration and celebratory spirit that Diwali brings is unmatchable. To add to the festive fervour , students of classes I and II of Primary Wing ,LPS South City presented a special assembly on Diwali on 10th November 2023. Assembly commenced with prayer ,pledge, thought and poem.Not only this a small skit was also presented by the students emphasizing on the importance of saying 'No to crackers' and urged children to be sensitive to the environment by celebrating a clean and cracker free Diwali.The assembly came to a close with the traditional Diwali dance. The teachers of Primary wing also presented a melodious composition on the occasion of Children's day. Students enjoyed a lot.
"Diwali is the festival of lights."To add on more shine on this sparkling festival Primary Wing of LPS South City, has organised different activities for the students of classes I to V on 9 .11 .23 ( Thursday). Paper Diya Making Activity was performed by the students of classes Pre Primary - II.With the help of colourful papers our tiny tots made different diyas based on different geometric shapes.It also helps in developing imagination, creativity and enthusiasm to explore.
Inter-House Fireless Cooking Competition was organised for the students of four houses of LPS South City. This inter house compettion conducted with the view to create awareness about nutritional value of food cooked
without fire. The young chefs prepared and served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way and learnt different skills and it also inculcates team spirit .

Dussehra which is also known as ' Vijayadashmi ' is the most famous and widely celebrated festival in India .It is observed at the end of Navratri every year. It signifies a triumph of good over evil. Our Kindergarteners celebrated Dussehra through Special Assembly conducted on 19.10.23 in the premises of Primary wing, by witnessing a perfect show based on the great Epic Ramayana .The kindergarten teachers unveiled the story of Ramayana , the reason of celebrating Dussehra and inspired the students to understand the values of life through puppets. The kids were delighted to see the puppets of Ram, Sita ,Hanuman and other various characters .It was a pleasure to see them chanting 'Jai Hanuman' 'Jai Shri Ram 'when the teachers narrated the story.Activity of decorating RAVANA 'S FACE was also done by Pre Primary students.Students enjoyed and learnt a lot.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, LPS South City organised a special assembly to commemorate the birth of these two great personalities, on 30th September in the premises of Primary Wing. The assembly commenced with the name of Almighty followed by the role play of Mahatma Gandhi and Shastri Ji, by the students of class V. Messages of Gandhiji were told to the children by the teacher, followed by a symphony of melodious voices with a melodious combination of' Vaishnav Jan To' and 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram'. Assembly concluded with the words of Principal Sir.

Swachhata Pakhwada was celebrated from 1st September to 15 September in the premises of LPS South City ,Primary Wing where different activities and special assemblies were conducted by the
students of Classes Pre Nursery to V . It promoted the virtue of personal as well as social hygiene among the students of different classes. Students also took a pledge on cleaneliness to mark .Swachhata Shapath Day on 13 September .The pledge in English and in Hindi promoted the virtue of cleanliness (both personal and social) among the students of Primary Wing . Mime presentation on the topic of Water wastage,act as icing on the cake. Students not only enjoyed but learnt a lot as well.
'Hand Wash Day' was organised in the Primary Wing of LPS South City on 16th September (Saturday )for classes Pre Nursery to V. The compaign aimed to motivate and mobilize, students around the school to improve their hand washing habits .A simple action of proper hand washing would lead to less absentism of students from illness.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a cleanliness drive initiated by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji. LPS South City, Primary wing conducted an activity Community Outreach - Swachhata Rally on 15th September , in which the students of Primary Wing participated with great enthusiasm and fervor alongwith the team of teachers. Public welcomed and appreciated the innovative and the beneficial approach undertaken by the school management .Nukkad Natak on the themeCleanliness was also performed by the students of Classes III to V. The companion culminated with the strong promise from the public that environmental cleanliness is a prime priority which should be taken care of!!!
दिनांक 13.09.23 को कक्षा एक व दो के छात्रों द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा का आयोजन किया गया, जिसके अंतर्गत कक्षा एक व दों की वक्तृत्व कला प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया जिसका विषय था - (हिंदी भाषा)। उत्साहपूर्ण प्रदर्शन दिखाते हुए छात्रों ने प्रस्तुतीकरण किया। इसके अतिरिक्त हिंदी भाषा पर बच्चों का ज्ञानवर्धन करने हेतु हिंदी भाषा प्रश्नोत्तरी का भी आयोजन किया गया। सभी बच्चों ने बढ़-चढ़कर प्रश्नोत्तरी में प्रतिभागिता दिखाई।
14 सितंबर का दिन भारत में हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है । 14 सितंबर 1949 को हिंदी को भारत की आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में चुना गया । इस दिवस की गरिमा को मनाते हुए लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल, साउथ सिटी के प्राइमरी विभाग में दिनांक 6.09.23 से लेकर 14.9.23 तक हिंदी सप्ताह का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें विशेष प्रार्थना सभाओं के अतिरिक्त विभिन्न क्रियाकलापों का आयोजन भी किया गया। प्रथम दिन की प्रार्थना सभा कक्षा I व II के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा आयोजित की गई ,जिसके अंतर्गत ईश वंदना, छात्र प्रतिज्ञा व विचार के अतिरिक्त कक्षा अध्यापिकाओं द्वारा नैतिक मूल्यों पर आधारित 'कठपुतली कहानी प्रदर्शन 'किया गया ।

Lucknow Public School, South City took the responsibility to serve the golden-agers and orphanages. On 13.09.2023 Junior wing students visited Cheshire home and distributed the Hygiene Kit there which included the bathing soap, handkerchief, toothbrush, small toothpaste, and sanitizer. The main purpose of this gesture is to spread awareness and create empathy.
"Don't be elastic, Say ' NO' to plastic"
Lucknow Public School, South City conducted a 'Poster Making Competition' under the theme 'Say No to Single use of Plastic'. It was held successfully on 14.09.2023 in which students of classes IX and XI participated enthusiastically and displayed their artistic skills by coordinating as a team.
"The cheapest is not always the best"
With this thought in their minds students of LPS South City ambled along the neighboring areas on 14.09.23. They conveyed an essential message to local vendors about the benefits of using paper envelopes and why the usage of plastics should be avoided. Not only this, but our junior wing pupils also distributed handmade paper & envelopes to them. Finally, the aim was fulfilled to a more significant extent since most vendors agreed to use paper envelopes instead of plastic.

The Janmashtami special Assembly was held on 2nd September 2023 in the Primary Wing of LPS South City .
A beautiful backdrop was prepared with flowers and other decorations. Children of classes Pre Primary participated in the program. Different characters of Lord Krishna's family like Devaki, Vasudev, Yashoda ,Nand baba and Balram were beautiful depicted by the students of Pre Primary classes. Assembly ended with the mesmerising dance performance of tiny tots. Students enjoyed a lot.

A special assembly on Raksha Bandhan was held on 29th August (Tuesday ) by the students of Classes Pre Primary to II , in the premises of Lucknow Public School South City branch, Primary wing .The event commenced by invoking the blessings of Lord with the prayer. The assembly followed by the speech (about the importance of the day) and the mesmerizing dance performance of Tiny tots of Pre primary. Historical story related to Raksha Bandhan was beautifully portrayed by the students of class I and II. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and children enjoyed a lot.
Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister, which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions .
To commemorate this festival RAKHI DECORATION ACTIVITY was organised for the students of Classes Pre Primary .
This activity enhanced the aesthetic sense and creativity of students.The students decorate beautiful rakhis using different decorative items. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity and were excited to take it home.

On the momentous occasion of Independence Day, our school gathered in unity and patriotism to celebrate the spirit of freedom and nationhood. The event commenced with great reverence as the school's Principal hoisted the tricolor flag, a symbol of our nation's hard-fought freedom. The resonating voices of the students singing "Vande Mataram" echoed our love for the motherland. The event continued with a soul-stirring choir performance, captivating the audience with their harmonious melodies.The cultural extravaganza extended to a medley of performances, showcasing the rich diversity of India. The action-packed "Nanha Munna Rahi hun" performance exuded youthful energy, followed by a dazzling display of regional attires in a lively fancy dress show.The celebration gained momentum with a group song, an English elocution contest that mirrored the power of words, and a medley of patriotic dances that left everyone spellbound.
The spirit of unity and diversity was showcased beautifully in a mesmerizing group dance performance. As the event drew to a close, the school unitedly proclaimed "Vidhyalaya Udghosh," reaffirming our commitment to education, growth, and a brighter future for our nation.
Through various performances and expressions, we paid homage to the struggles of our freedom fighters and pledged to continue their legacy of building a strong, prosperous, and united India.

To take a short glimpse on the same and to make the students aware about its Lucknow Public School organized a quiz –Quest Enigma on 10/08/23 to provide a platform to the students to explore a nation which is a land of spiritually and have a glorified history. Seven branches of LPS participated in the competition in preliminary round (phase -I), in which four were selected for the Phase –II round and the results were-Ahiyaraipur Raibareilly stood First, LPS –Sector I grab the second position, LPS Unnao stood Third and consolation to LPS Sector D. The Quiz completion was a great success and definitely it will have encouraged students to participate in more such competition in future.

To provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills & inculcate into them spirit of sportsmanship, Lucknow Public School organized an Inter-Branch Badminton Championship on 29th & 30th July at Shri C.P Singh Memorial Auditorium. The entire LPS family consisting of nine branches participated enthusiastically for the primary, junior & senior category. The match began with a lot of enthusiasm displayed not only by the players but also by the spectators. The result of tournament is as follows: LPS, Sec I branch bagged winners title followed by LPS, South City & LPS, Sec D branch in the Junior Category for Boys. While on the other hand, LPS, Sec D branch emerged as a winner followed by LPS, Jankipuram and LPS, Sec I in the Junior Category for Girls. LPS, Raebareli won the match followed by LPS, South City & LPS, Sec D in the Senior Category for Boys. However, LPS, Raebareli retained the first position again for the Senior Category for Girls followed by LPS, Eldeco & LPS, Jankipuram respectively. The certificates were presented to all the winners & the tournament was quite a learning experience for all the participating teams. The fun-filled day was a true treat to the eyes of all Badminton fans present there.
'Let us all take action to conserve our natural resources and biodiversity'
With this oath, students of LPS, South City, Primary wing celebrated WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY on 28th July( Friday) under which Special Assembly was conducted by the students of class I - V. The aim was to propagate awareness among our children, the importance of nurturing our NATURE for a promising and better FUTURE .Assembly started with the name of Almighty followed by Hindi group elocution based on 'save Nature'; Tree Talk (where the importance of different trees was presented by the fancy dress of class I and II );skit was presented by the students of class 5 based on the theme (to save electricity water and fossil fuels). Assembly ended with the mesmerizing dance performance of girls with the message to reduce pollution. All programs reflect the touch of love, care ,compassion and responsibility which we nurture to our mother nature .Students learnt a lot through this informative assembly.

A pleasing dance performance of Vande Mataram raised goosebumps among the onlookers and created a vibrant atmosphere. This performance refreshes the memories of freedom fighters.

A masterpiece of Hindi poetry spellbound the audience and creates groves of Patriotic feelings among them. Poetry made the audience remember about the sacrifice of our great fighters and soldiers.

Today's morning is showering the blessings of our ancestors for our glorified developing India.
In order to pay tribute to these warriors Lucknow Public School, and South City came together in order to memorise the sacrifices and hardships of the Pride of our nation - Our Soldiers.
The assembly began with the blessing of the Almighty following a fine-tuned melodious Patriotic song presented by the choir of the school.

KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS is significant in history as it marks the victory of Indian Soldiers .To honour the brave Indian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, its land and its people, Special Assembly was conducted in the premises of LPS South City, Primary wing on 26 July (Wednesday) by the students of Class I - V . Assembly started by the name of Almighty, followed by the patriotic poem based on the sacrifices of soldiers by the students of Class I and II. Speech by Kritin Shukla enhanced the knowledge about this glorious day. Introduction of different warriors was given by the students of class III - V. The commendable performances of the students left a deep imprint on the hearts of one and all.

The celebration of VAN MAHOTSAVA WEEK came to an end with a fantastic ending ceremony i.e. VAN MAHOTSAVA RALLY on 17th July (Monday). Mass participation of Primary wing, South City could be seen in this Rally .The rally proceeded with the message of 'green go ,clean go'. Not only this , saplings were also distributed among the people of nearby community . People appreciated the efforts of school. Students also participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and made the program successful and memorable.

A special and informative assembly was conducted by the students of classes I and II ,in the premises of Primary wing on 15th July (Saturday).It included prayer ,pledge ,thought and the central point TREE 🌲 TALK in which students gave information about different parts and types of trees Assembly was ended with the words of Headmistress (Primary wing) where students and teachers were appreciated for their efforts.

On the beautiful morning of 14th July (Friday), LPS South City, Primary wing organised INTER HOUSE GREEN QUIZ COMPETITION for the students of Classes l and ll . The four representatives from each house were participated with full enthusiasm. The main objective of organising this quiz ,was to consecrate the students about different aspects of Van Mahotsava and the importance of trees in our lives. Wonderful team spirit was also appeared in this competition. BHARAT HOUSE was the winner 🏆. Eklavya and Dhruv house were the runner ups.
Special Assembly was conducted by the students of class III - V, to celebrate Van Mahotsav week in the premises of LPS South City ,Primary wing on 13th July (Thursday ). It began with the worship of the Almighty followed by pledge and thought. Main attraction of the Assembly was 'Nukkad Natak' that was energetically performed by the students with the message of 'Save Trees Save Life'. Mesmerizing dance drama on the topic 'SAVE TREES' was also performed by our Little Champs. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and learnt a lot.
Van Mahotsava or Forest Festival was also celebrated by the Tiny Toddlers of LPS ,South City Primary wing in the form of 'Green Colour Day ' on 12th July (Wednesday). Different activities like Palm Painting and Paper Folding Tree , were organised for the students of Pre Primary Classes .Our green colour dressed tiny tots took part in all activities with great fervour. This energy and curiosity was really incomparable. Main objective of celebrating this day is to make them aware about importance of trees and to inculcate different coordination skills in them.

'Plantation drive' was celebrated under the 'Van Mahotsava' week on 11th July (Tuesday). This was a great initiative to make our atmosphere neat and clean by tree plantation. We can develop an ecosystem free of greenhouse gases, to reduce global warming. This activity was performed by the students of Class Pre Primary - V .Students brought their saplings and learnt the steps of planting those saplings and their importance as well.

The celebration of Van Mahotsava came to an end with a fantastic special assembly on 15th July 2023 on the premises of Lucknow Public School, South City. It began with the worship of the Almighty followed by a pledge and thought. The environmental speech was appreciable along with a melodious song related to Van Mahotsav followed by an oath raked by students to keep their environment clean and green. At the last Principal sir appreciated all the tireless efforts of the students and teachers. Thus, finally, we came to a successful end of this week's celebration.

Today's world has grown and groomed very well as per the technologies.... And this can be proved through the tireless efforts of our students of classes VII and VIII. On 14th July 2023 these students of Lucknow Public School, South City branch very enthusiastically participated in Template Designing where through their technical knowledge they very beautifully did the justice with the theme Conservation of Natural Resources. From each section of class VII and VIII two participants participated as a team.
Thus, this fifth day was also a successful program.

Theme was Van Mahatsav and competition held among the four Houses of three classes.

Morning of 12th July 2023 became a colourful morning indeed.
Yes, it was the third day occasion and celebration of Van Mahatsav where now it was the turn for the students of class XI to pull up their socks for the Collage Making Competition. Theme was Making Earth Green. Students' new imaginations and ideas personified the beauty of the Earth amazingly.
It was another successful day for all.

Thus, students under guidance of the teachers worked so obediently to make this first day of Van Mahotsav successful. We hope each day's celebration will surely add more feathers to the cap of success of Southcitians.
Mother's Day is an occasion which is celebrated to express respect, honor and love towards mothers. Keeping this in mind Lucknow Public School organised a 'Mother's Day' award 'ribbon making activity' to honor the contribution and the role of mothers in our society. For this, students of class I and II made a beautiful badge and submitted it to their class teacher till 8th May, 2023. A Video was being shared for student's reference.
A mother is the only teacher in the world who performs her duty without expecting anything in return.
With due respect for every mother, Lucknow Public School, South City branch organised an activity session on 08.05.2023. The main motive behind this activity was to acknowledge the selfless role of a mother in one's life. Students of various classes made beautiful things for their mothers. This was a minute way to pay respect to their hardships, sacrifices, dedication, tireless efforts which they make every single day for us. Thus, the efforts and love of the students for their mothers was well appreciated and encouraged.

Labour day is a day when workers can feel respected for the work that they have done all over the year. Labour day or May Day observed on 1st May commemorates the historic struggles and gains made by the workers through the labour movement .The school honours the accomplishment and contributions made by the workers through various activities and also highlights the importance of labour class in our society. The group D workers were rewarded for the hard work by small token of appreciation by tiny tots .On this occasion students of class I and II gave a tribute to our helpers by presenting fancy dress activity.
English writing event was organised in school as a good handwriting is the mirror of one's personality .To improve presentation skills and to inculcate the habit of good handwriting an inter class English handwriting activity was conducted for the students of class I to V on 28th April.
The juicy and scrumptious watermelon is truly one of summer time sweetest treats. With the name like watermelon , it's no wonder that eating it on a hot and exhausting day leads to refreshing and hydrating bodies. On Thursday , April 27 we celebrated 'Watermelon Day ' in Play group (pre primary section) to enhance children's knowledge about it.
Children are vulnerable to infection and hygiene plays a vital role ,when it comes to good health. Hand wash activity increases children's knowledge about positive health, behaviors' and also enhance wellness. It also educate children and their care givers on how to prevent common health problems by developing proper hand washing skill. This activity was organised on 26th April for the students of classes I and II with proper demo followed by execution of hand washing steps.
Show and tell is an important part of children’s learning and development ,as it helps them to organise information and builds their confidence. Keeping this in mind a show and tell activity was organised for the students of grade I and II with the theme 'fruits and vegetables’. This theme based presentation not only enhanced the knowledge of students regarding different fruits and vegetables and also prepared them to be a confident orator .The students were excited to share their descriptive narration and waited eagerly for their turn. he main objective of this activity was to boost self esteem , confidence sharpen speaking and other social skills. Intersection competition was organised for this activity where the participants of 12 sections of classes I and II participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and got positions according to their performance.
The aim of school readiness programme is to improve the child's capability rather enforcing retention in the same class. It allows teachers to expand and further develop a child's skill in the specific areas of social interaction, emotional development, physical skills, literacy and fine motor skills. The Readiness Programme for the session 2023 - 24 was taken up from 21st March to 31st March, 2023 where lots of activities were taken up like welcoming the kids, making them to explore the campus, giving them the healthy feel with lot of activities including Roll and Cross, Coloring activity, Palm painting, Sorting activities, Alphabet fun, Recognition of fruits and vegetables and Play with dough activity. Tiny tots have participated in all these activities with great zeal and enthusiasm that not only developed a long term interest in their learning but also enabled them to develop the qualities of self expression, friendship, sharing, cooperation and accountability among them.
It was a delightful site to see all the students back in school, in full strength after a gap of 15 days. SPECIAL WELCOME ASSEMBLY was organized for the welcome of students on the very first day of new academic session i.e. 21st April(2023-24) Different programs including dance of tiny tots , skit presentation by the students of classes III to V ,aerobics ,school building introduction were also there . Bright colourful classes and cheerful smiles of the teachers were there to welcome the young highlanders into their warm folds.

WORLD HERITAGE DAY is celebrated annually on 18thApril to create awareness for the preservation of our great heritage . World water day is the annual reminder for all of us to take special measures to safe water. Every year 22nd March is celebrated as world water day as a means of focusing attention. As the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of fresh water resources. A special assembly was conducted in which importance of water and methods to save water were showcased to the students through speeches, skit and dance. An oath on “matter waste water” (save water, save life) was the spotlight of the assembly.
The foundation day of the school is the day from when the organisation started its journey, it is therefore obvious that the day is special and needs celebration in due manner . A Special Assembly was commenced with a prayer song . Afterwards the teachers were made aware about the school's founder and the staff members of the school. Students enthusiastically presented a mesmerizing dance performance followed by the remarkable addressal by Headmistress of the primary wing.
With the goal to create student’s familiarity with the institution’s regulation and academic standards an Orientation Programme was organised on 19th March. It helped school to partner with the parents who alongwith the teachers and student’s are important stake holders in the pursuit of imparting holistic learning to help our students become global citizens.

The new session 2023- 2024 was warmly welcomed by the students of Lucknow Public School, South City, Junior Wing. It marked the successful completion of the previous session and the beginning of a new and exciting journey to achieve new heights of Scholastic and Co-scholastic domain. The assembly commenced with musical offerings to God followed by an inspirational thought. It was a celebration comprising of the invigorating school song, mesmerising dance performance and speeches by the meritorious students followed by a pledge to uphold the duties as a student. At last the Principal of the school welcomed all the old as well as new students and wished them the best for the new session.

The students of current batch organized the event in unison to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors with a hope that when they reach the zenith of their career, they will never forget their roots, family, and extended family- their school!

Christmas Day is a day which brings cherishing smile on everyone's face. Thus, in order to enhance the smile of all, Lucknow Public School, South City celebrated Christmas Day with a short special assembly of Junior wing students on December 23rd, 2022 which was later followed by an activity session . In this activity session classes prepared different iconic items regarding the day. Hence, their enthusiasm and energy were well appreciated by all dignitaries.

Debating requires advanced oral presentation skills as well as logical deduction which helps to enhance the cognitive development of young learners. With this spirit Lucknow Public School, A-Block, South-City, organised an inter-house debate competition for class IX to XII on 4th December 2022. The topic for the debate was 'Should scientists be blamed for the consequences of their experiments?' with the objective to generate effective critical thinking into primary issues in the given topic. The students took participate enthusiastically and gave their viewpoints in for and against the motion and drew out the conclusion that the survival of human beings is not possible without science. Science in real terms is a blessing for mankind, but on the other hand, it can become a bane if used in a negative way.
The most precious thing in this world is the smile on the face of a child. So, keeping the above quote in mind, Lucknow Public School, South City organised a gala time for the students of in the form of School Picnic to Janeshwar Mishra Park for various classes which began on November 5th, 2022 and ended on November 15th, 2022.
Here, the glimpse shared of Junior Wing students who had this marvelous time on November 11th, 2022.All the smiling faces of children made this effort more successful and adorable. Thus, students not only enjoyed the moment but also made it the most remarkable through their tiny efforts. Their smiles were the vital reason behind the smiles of elders.

With lots of thankfulness and respect for every dad, Lucknow Public School, South City branch organised an activity session on 21.06.2022 where they actively participated in antakshari, cooking without fire and many more. Their efforts here also were tireless and very much appreciable. The main motive of the school behind this activity was to acknowledge the efforts and work of the backbone of one's life. Fathers of various students of various classes made this day remarkable. This was our way to pay respect to their hardships, sacrifices, dedication, tireless efforts which they make every single day for us. They deserve atleast a day where they can be shown how precious they are to us.
