SCHOOL PICNIC AT AMRAPALI WATER PARK
‘Every picnic is a new adventure.’
Lucknow Public School, South City branch organized a picnic at Amrapali Waterpark for the senior classes (IX to XII) on Tuesday 8th October 2024.
The students were all set to have a fantastic day with their friends and teachers. They brought the buses to life, singing and dancing merrily. After reaching the venue, students were served a delicious breakfast.
The students experienced an exhilarating day, enjoying thrilling water rides, the exciting Columbus, the nostalgic Mary-go-round, and the spinning wheels. Photographs were enthusiastically clicked, capturing the thrill, excitement, and joy on each student's face. The students were served a scrumptious lunch, after which they continued their rides with gusto. The special day ended with the students singing and dancing their way home, making it a fun-filled and memorable trip for all.
DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION
To mark the victory of good over evil, Dusshera was celebrated at Lucknow Public School, South City on 09/10/24. Various cultural programs were organised on the occasion in order to tell the significance of Dusshera, including the introduction of various characters of Ramayana was done by the tiny tots of Pre Primary section. The students were nicely dressed up in shiny attires.
Not only this beautiful dance presentation was done by a senior wing student as Durga Stuti. Students enjoyed and learnt a lot through different presentations.
GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION
Lucknow Public School, South City organised a series of engaging activities in the special assembly of GANDHI JAYANTI, to promote Mahatma Gandhi's value of environment conservation and responsible living.Young learners from junior wing presented speech, group song and nukkad natak on SWACH BHARAT SWASTH BHARAT.Values told by Gandhiji's three monkeys and their history was beautifully executed by the students of Primary Wing. These activities not only honoured Gandhi Jayanti but also encourage the student to adopt sustainable practices and contribute positively to the environment and society.
CBSE CLUSTER-IV KHO-KHO TOURNAMENT 2024
CBSE Cluster IV Kho-Kho 2024 showcasing thrilling athleticism was organised at Lucknow Public School,A-Block,South city branch,Lucknow from 07/09/2024 to 10/09/2024. In the plethora of events organised for three days around 84 teams participated.The tournament was organised in three distinct categories Under-14,Under-17 and under-19.The result of this tournament was announced on 10th September,2024
The winner of Under-14 Boys & Girls category was St.Xavier’s Inter College,Lucknow followed by Under-17 Boys which was achieved by Lucknow Public School, South city branch,Lucknow.Under 17 Girls category was accomplished by Shri Brijlal Yadav Memorial Public School,Raebareli & Under-19 Boys & Girls was attained by Lucknow Public School,Southcity branch. Shri Laxmikant Shukla,Coordinator,Indian Kho-Kho Association graced the occasion as chief guest.He through his motivational insight & wisdom inspired the players to elevate and reach new heights together.Manager Lokesh Singh & Director Rashmi Pathak with their esteemed presence motivated players to exhibit excellence.Finally the event was wrapped up by the extended heartfelt gratitude expressed by Principal Shekhar Sharma,South-city branch.
REMEMBRANCE DAY 2024
आप बहुत याद आए....
21 सितंबर 2024 को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल के संस्थापक श्री सी. पी. सिंह जी को विद्यालय की साउथ सिटी शाखा के द्वारा भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई। विद्यालय को आज इस मुकाम तक पहुंचाने में लगे उनके श्रम, दूरदर्शिता एवं समर्पण को याद कर सभी की आँखें नम हो गईं। सर्वप्रथम विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य श्री शेखर शर्मा व उपप्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती दीप्ति तिवारी द्वारा सर की मूर्ति पर माल्यार्पण किया गया तदुपरांत साउथ सिटी शाखा में कार्यरत समस्त शिक्षकों , कर्मचारियों एवं सहायकों द्वारा पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की गई। इसी श्रृंखला में छात्रों ने भी अपने कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। सर्वप्रथम कक्षा ग्यारह की मलिष्का और प्रज्ञा ने सी. पी. सिंह सर के व्यक्तित्व और कृतित्व पर प्रकाश डाला । तत्पश्चात जूनियर वर्ग के छात्र छात्राओं द्वारा भावपूर्ण समूह गान मधुवन खुशबू देता है प्रस्तुत किया गया। कक्षा 11 की छात्रा मयूरी सिंह ने जब अज्ञेय द्वारा रचित कविता तिनका का पाठ किया तो सभी के समक्ष सी. पी. सर द्वारा सिंचित मानवीय मूल्य प्रत्यक्ष हो उठे। प्राथमिक कक्षा की छात्राओं द्वारा हर तरफ हर जगह गीत पर प्रस्तुत नृत्य ने तो सभी को भाव विभोर कर दिया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में सी.पी. सिंह सर के सान्निध्य में रह चुके प्रधानाचार्य महोदय तथा कुछ अन्य शिक्षकों ने भी अपने अनुभव साझा किए। सभी के द्वारा सर के दिखाए मार्ग पर चलने का प्रण लेते हुए यह कार्यक्रम संपन्न हुआ।
Hindi Diwas Celebration class I - V
'भारत में हर भाषा का सम्मान है पर हिंदी ईश्वर का वरदान है!' प्रत्येक वर्ष की तरह इस वर्ष भी हिंदी भाषा को गौरवान्वित करने के लिए 11 सितंबर से लेकर 14 सितंबर तक एलपीएस( प्राइमरी विंग ) के प्रांगण में हिंदी सप्ताह का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों के ज्ञान व रचनात्मकता को बढ़ाने के लिए विभिन्न गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया । इसके अंतर्गत कक्षा I से V तक के विद्यार्थियों के लिए सुलेख, श्रुतलेख, दोहा वाचन, श्लोक वाचन, शब्द लड़ी , व्याकर्णिक नाटक , प्रश्नोत्तरी ,कविता वाचन कहानी वाचन आदि प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। विद्यार्थियों ने पूरे उत्साह से सभी गतिविधियों में प्रतिभागिता की व विभिन्न स्थान भी प्राप्त किए। 14 सितंबर को आयोजित विशेष प्रार्थना सभा में विजयी छात्रों को पुरस्कृत भी किया गया। छात्रों की प्रतिभागिता निश्चित रूप से सराहनीय थी।
Hindi Diwas Celebration of Pre- Primary Classes
'हिंदी हमारे देश और भाषा की प्रभावशाली विरासत है!' अंतरराष्ट्रीय हिंदी दिवस 14 सितंबर को पूरे विश्व में उत्साह से मनाया जाता है । मात्र हिंदी ही एक ऐसी भाषा है जिसमें जैसा हम सोचते हैं उसी प्रकार से लिखते हैं । हिंदी भाषा के गौरव को चार चांद लगाने के लिए 11 सितंबर से 13 सितंबर तक एलपीएस के प्री प्राइमरी छात्रों के लिए विभिन्न रचनात्मक गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया जैसे समूह वक्तृत्व कला प्रतियोगिता , अक्षर ज्ञान, दिखाओ और बताओ व स्वर चित्रों में रंग भरो । नन्हे मुन्ने बच्चों ने उत्साह से सभी कार्यक्रमों में भाग लिया । यही नहीं इस प्रकार के कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने से उनकी वक्रत्व कला में बढ़ोतरी होती है । साथ ही साथ उन्होंने विभिन्न गतिविधियों में पुरस्कार भी अर्जित किए।
Special Assembly By Primary Wing on Teachers Day
A teacher affect eternity;no one can tell where his/her influence stops.'
It is said that teaching is one of the noblest profession ever on this earth. Gratitude is a powerful emotion and Teachers ' Day provides a perfect opportunity to express our appreciation for the educators who have shaped our lives. LPS,South City celebrated Teachers Day with energetic dynamism on 3rd Sep,2024 in the premises of Primary Wing . All students created an aura of love and appreciation as they sang, recited a poem and danced for the Teachers in the special assembly of Teachers Day. Children enjoyed the aerobics, at the end.
NATIONAL SPACE DAY CELEBRATION
लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल ए-ब्लॉक साउथसिटी में राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष दिवस बड़े उत्साह और उमंग के साथ मनाया गया। यह दिन अंतरिक्ष के चमत्कारों की खोज करने और अंतरिक्ष अन्वेषण में भारत की उपलब्धियों, विशेष रूप से चंद्रयान II मिशन पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के बारे में छात्रों के बीच गर्व और जिज्ञासा की भावना पैदा करने के लिए समर्पित था I
*कविता लेखन प्रतियोगिता:*
कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत एक कविता लेखन प्रतियोगिता से हुई जहां छात्रों ने अंतरिक्ष अन्वेषण पर अपने विचार लिखकर अपनी रचनात्मकता का प्रदर्शन किया। कविताओं में जिज्ञासा, रोमांच और एक ऐसे राष्ट्र का हिस्सा होने के गौरव को खूबसूरती से दर्शाया गया है जिसने अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी में महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति की है। कुछ छात्रों ने भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) के प्रयासों की प्रशंसा व्यक्त करते हुए चंद्रयान द्वितीय मिशन से प्रेरणा ली।
*स्लोगन् लेखन प्रतियोगिता:*
कविता सत्र के बाद, छात्रों ने स्लोगन् लेखन प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया। स्लोगन् में अंतरिक्ष अन्वेषण के महत्व और इस क्षेत्र में भारत की उपलब्धियों पर जोर दिया गया। आकर्षक और प्रेरक वाक्यांश जैसे "चंद्रयान के साथ सितारों तक पहुंचें" और "भारत का गौरव, चंद्रयान की सवारी!" पूरे आयोजन स्थल पर प्रदर्शित किए गए, जो भारत के अंतरिक्ष प्रयासों में छात्रों के गौरव को दर्शाते हैं।
*कहानी लेखन प्रतियोगिता:*
कहानी लेखन प्रतियोगिता में, छात्रों को अंतरिक्ष अन्वेषण से संबंधित कल्पनाशील कथाएँ बनाने के लिए कहा गया था। कई कहानियाँ चंद्रयान II मिशन के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती हैं, जिसमें छात्र खुद को चंद्रमा की खोज करने वाले और नई सीमाओं की खोज करने वाले अंतरिक्ष यात्री के रूप में कल्पना करते हैं। कहानियों ने युवा पीढ़ी पर अंतरिक्ष मिशनों के प्रभाव पर प्रकाश डाला, जिससे उन्हें बड़े सपने देखने और ऊंचे लक्ष्य रखने की प्रेरणा मिली।
*छात्रों के साथ इंटरैक्टिव सत्र:*
दिन का मुख्य आकर्षण छात्रों और शिक्षकों के बीच एक इंटरैक्टिव सत्र था। शिक्षकों ने चंद्रयान II मिशन के महत्व को समझाया और इस बात पर जोर दिया कि कैसे यह भारत के अंतरिक्ष कार्यक्रम में एक मील का पत्थर साबित हुआ। चंद्रयान II भारत का दूसरा चंद्र अन्वेषण मिशन था, जिसे जुलाई 2019 में इसरो द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था। इस मिशन का उद्देश्य चंद्रमा के दक्षिणी ध्रुव क्षेत्र का पता लगाना था, एक ऐसा क्षेत्र जिसकी पहले कभी भी पूरी तरह से जांच नहीं की गई थी। हालांकि लैंडर, विक्रम को लैंडिंग चरण के दौरान चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ा, ऑर्बिटर काम करना जारी रखता है और उसने चंद्र सतह के बारे में बहुमूल्य डेटा प्रदान किया है।
छात्रों को बताया गया कि आंशिक असफलता के बावजूद, चंद्रयान II अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी में भारत की बढ़ती विशेषज्ञता का एक प्रमाण है। शिक्षकों ने छात्रों को मिशन की चुनौतियों से सीखने और भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा की गई प्रगति पर गर्व करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। इस सत्र ने न केवल छात्रों को शिक्षित किया बल्कि एक जीवंत चर्चा भी शुरू की, जिसमें छात्रों ने अंतरिक्ष मिशनों के बारे में व्यावहारिक प्रश्न पूछे और भविष्य में भारत के अंतरिक्ष प्रयासों में योगदान देने की अपनी आकांक्षाएं व्यक्त कीं।
Janmashtami Activities By Class I and II
Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else. LPS, South City , Primary Wing celebrated the festival of Janmashtami with fervour and zest by organising Flute 
making activity and Crown 
making activity for the students of Classes I and II on 23/8/24 ( Friday). Students used glitters, decorating material like mirror, coloured beads, ribbon ,stones ,colour papers to decorate the flute and making the crown. Students enthusiastically participated in this activity. Students made beautiful flutes and crowns of Krishna under the supervision of their teachers . Not only this a PUPPET SHOW was also organised by the teachers of class I and II During this show children were explained ,why do we celebrate Janmashtami? How do we celebrate this festival ? Children enjoyed a lot and gained knowledge as well. Our little despites participated in all activities with great zeal and energy. These activities help in children's physical ,social ,cognitive and emotional development.
Janmashtami Celebration By Pre-Primary
The Janmashtami celebration at the school was a vibrant and Joyous event showcasing the cultural richness of the festival .LPS ,South City Primary Wing has organised Janmashtami Celebration for the students of Pre Primary classes on 23/8/24 (Friday) where the tiny tots dressed as Radha Krishna Devaki and other characters that beautifully depicted the episodes from Lord Krishna's life . The event concluded with a lively photo session, capturing the festive spirit and enthusiasm of all the participants.
Investiture Ceremony Primary Wing
लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल , साउथ सिटी शाखा में 2024 - 25 के लिए प्राइमरी कक्षाओं के लिए विद्यालय परिषद का अलंकरण समारोह 12 अगस्त को आयोजित किया गया। इस समारोह में हेड बॉय , हेड गर्ल, वाइस हेड बॉय , वाइस हेड गर्ल समन्वयक खेल, अनुशासन गतिविधि की नियुक्ति की गई। साथ ही विभिन्न सदनों के कप्तान, उप कप्तान और प्रीफेक्ट्स का भी चयन किया गया। समारोह में छात्रों में ध्वज को सलामी दी और नव चयनित पदाधिकारियो को स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट किए गए। प्राइमरी विंग की हेडमिस्ट्रेस सुश्री रीना ओझा ने चयनित छात्रों को शुभकामनाएं दी और उन्हें अपने कर्तव्यों को निभाने की प्रेरणा दी । हेड बॉय कुशाग्र मौर्य के उद्घोष से विद्यालय प्रांगण गूंज उठा। समारोह ने छात्रों को समाज में भविष्य में योगदान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल साउथ सिटी शाखा में 2023-24 के लिए जूनियर और सीनियर कक्षाओं के लिए विद्यालय परिषद का अलंकरण समारोह 13 अगस्त को आयोजित किया गया। इस समारोह में हेड बॉय, हेड गर्ल, वाइस हेड बॉय, वाइस हेड गर्ल, समन्वयक, खेल, अनुशासन, गतिविधि, एनसीसी और बैंड सहायकों की नियुक्ति की गई। साथ ही विभिन्न सदनों के कप्तान और उप कप्तान, और जूनियर कक्षाओं से कोऑर्डिनेटर और प्रीफेक्ट्स का चयन किया गया। समारोह में छात्रों ने ध्वज को सलामी दी और नव-चयनित पदाधिकारियों को स्मृति चिह्न भेंट किए गए। प्रधानाचार्य श्री शेखर शर्मा ने चयनित छात्रों को शुभकामनाएं दीं और उन्हें अपने कर्तव्यों को निभाने की प्रेरणा दी। हेड बॉय रुद्र प्रताप सिंह के उद्घोष से विद्यालय प्रांगण गूंज उठा। समारोह ने छात्रों को समाज में भविष्य में योगदान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
Rakhi Making Activity by Pre-Primary
Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate the eternal bond of love between brother and sister. To commemorate this festival LPS, South City Primary Wing has organised a Rakhi Making Activity for the students of Pre - Primary - class II on 17/8/24 (Saturday ). Children made beautiful rakhis using ribbons, glitter sheets and other decorative materials. Their creativity was quite fascinating and children enjoyed it a lot. They were also very happy for the preparation of their handmade rakhis . This activity not only enhance their creativity / use of their motors skills but also make them independent. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Rakshabandhan Celebration by Pre-Nursery
A love between a brother and a sister is one of the deepest and noblest of human emotions. Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate this emotion. The sister ties a holy thread around the wrist of her brother. Rakshabandhan Celebration was also organised for the tiny tots of Pre - Nursery on 16/8/24(Friday ).
Here at LPS , South City Rakshabandhan was celebrated with lots of love and happiness. The students came in colourful attire and girls tied Rakhi on the wrist of boys .The new age RakshaBandhan emphasizes both sisters and brothers protecting, helping and loving each other for a better tomorrow. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Independence Day activities of Pre Primary classes

The day of 15th August is actually the day of pride and festival .To celebrate this festival prior preparations are started in the premises of LPS South City, Primary Wing.
The tricolor activity was beautifully executed in different forms like FLAG DESIGNING USING PULSES AND RICE & PASTING OF TRICOLOUR STRIPES TO MAKE INDIAN FLAG under GIGGLE AND GROW ACTIVITY by the tiny tots of Pre- Primary Classes on 7/8/24 (Wednesday ).The main objective of these activities is to create the awareness of tricolor among the small children . It not only provides children with the warm ,loving ,friendly atmosphere that promotes exploration, peer learning and interactive education, but also inculcates the feeling of patriotism and pride in them towards their motherland. Students participated with great zeal and enjoyed a lot.
Inter-House Kavi Sammelan" on Independence Day
No amount of money can give the happiness that freedom does .
On the occasion of 78 Independence Day Inter House Kavi Sammelan अंतरसदन कवि सम्मेलन ( विषय देशभक्ति ) was organised for the students of Classes IV and V in the premises of LPS Primary Wing , South City. It was a zestful event as the poets made the environment so pride with their patriotic poems and the expressions of recitals .The poets meet began with the poems of Bharat house, followed by Dhruv , Eklavya and Karan house .Poets from each house participated with great zeal, fervour and enthusiasm and for this they received appreciation and motivation from the audience also.

Patriotism is the virtue
To celebrate the zeal of Independence and to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among the children अंतरसदन वक्तव्य कला प्रतियोगिता ( विषय देशभक्ति ) was organised for the students of Classes I and II in the premises of Primary Wing, South City on 12/8/24 (Monday ). Students executed the competition enthusiastically and with full confidence. Dhruv house was the winner followed by Karan house and Bharat. Zeal of participation in the students was really praiseworthy.

Never let the fear of striking out get in your way
On the occasion of 78th Independence Day अंतरकक्षा कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता ( विषय वीररस / देशभक्ति ) was organised for the students of class III on 14/8/24 ( Wednesday) in which two participants have participated from each section. Children recited different poems on the above given theme with actions and a lot of confidence . Poems chosen were good and appreciated by all. Children were very excited , enthusiastic and performed very well on stage. Students of III- B were the winners with their passionate poem खूब लड़ी मर्दानी वो तो झांसी वाली रानी थी ! Feeling of team spirit , coordination and competition among the students was really praiseworthy.
Fancy Dress Activity By Pre-Primary on the Occassion of Independence Day
Fancy dress activity is a popular activity at school especially for the toddlers and if it is integrated with Independence Day, it works as cherry on top. To celebrate the pride and significance of 78th Independence Day, fancy dress activity has been organised for the students of Pre- Primary Classes on 9th August in the premises of LPS Primary Wing, South City. Tiny tots dressed up as different freedom fighters. This activity helps children to build their confidence level. They also learnt how to dress up and present themselves in front of an audience. Children enjoyed and learnt a lot also.

The 78th Independence Day of India is celebrating with
immense patriotic zeal and enthusiasm in the form of 'Independence week' in the premises of LPS South City, Primary Wing. Series of activities are organised to celebrate the feeling of patriotism. Under this different activities related to the TRICOLOUR CONCEPT were organised for the students of Classes classes I to V, as follows-
*Making of Tiranga by paper tearing method ( class - I )
*Making of Tiranga by pulses/grains ( class - II )
*Tricolour kite making ( class - III )
*Tricolour badge making ( class - IV )
*Tricolour bird making ( class V )
The children participated in these activities enthusiastically .The activities were conducted with the motive of arousing the feelings of unity and showcasing their love and devotion towards their homeland.
स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर विशेष कार्यक्रम

स्वतंत्रता दिवस की ७८वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल की साउथ सिटी शाखा में रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का आरंभ विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य द्वारा ध्वजारोहण से किया गया । स्वतंत्रता दिवस के इस स्वर्णिम पर्व पर सभी छात्र-छात्राओं ने बड़े ही उत्साह व जोश के साथ भाग लिया । कार्यक्रमों के अंतर्गत राष्ट्र की एकता और अखंडता को दर्शाता प्राइमरी शाखा के छात्रों द्वारा मनमोहक नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया गया साथ ही साथ भारत के प्रतीक चिह्नों की झाँकी प्रस्तुत की गई। सैन्य जीवन पर आधारित मूक प्रस्तुति ने सभी को भावुक कर दिया। हमारे हृदय में देश प्रेम की भावना को प्रबल करती हुई सभी मनमोहक प्रस्तुतियों द्वारा शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई। प्रधानाचार्य द्वारा दिए गए संदेश से कार्यक्रम का समापन किया गया ।

वन महोत्सव सप्ताह के अंतर्गत आज दिनांक 10 जुलाई 2024 दिन बुधवार को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल की साउथ सिटी शाखा में अंतरसदन वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया जिसका शीर्षक था वन महोत्सव का प्रभाव या प्रतीकात्मकता' जिसमें सीनियर वर्ग के छात्र-छात्राओं ने उत्साह पूर्वक भाग लिया। इस आयोजन का मुख्य उद्देश्य छात्रों को वनों की उपयोगिता बताना तथा वन संरक्षण हेतु प्रेरित करना था। इसमें भरत, ध्रुव, एकलव्य एवं करन सदन के विद्यार्थियों ने प्रतिभागिता की और निर्णायक मंडल द्वारा करन सदन को विजेता घोषित किया गया।

वनों के महत्व एवं संरक्षण के उपलक्ष्य में दिनांक 1 जुलाई 2024 दिन सोमवार को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल की साउथ सिटी शाखा में कविता लेखन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें जूनियर विभाग के कक्षा आठ के छात्र-छात्राओं ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। इस आयोजन का मुख्य उद्देश्य छात्रों को वन संरक्षण एवं पौधारोपण के महत्व एवं आवश्यकता के लिए जागरूक करना था । इस प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से पर्यावरण के बचाव हेतु कारगर कदम उठाने के लिए छात्रों को प्रेरित करना भी मूल्य उद्देश्यों में समाहित था।
VAN MAHOTSAV WEEK (POSTER MAKING & SLOGAN WRITING COMPETITION)
In the series of various events being organised by Lucknow Public School, South City during the one-week celebration of Van Mahotsav, Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions were observed as the most exciting and creative activities on July 2, 2024 in which two students from each section of classes- VI and VII participated enthusiastically to put their innovative ideas on the colorful chart papers in the form of catchy and informative slogans and posters. The entries reflected a deep understanding of the crucial role trees play in sustaining life on Earth, from providing oxygen and combating climate change to offering habitat for wildlife and beautifying our surroundings. The competition not only nurtured the students' creativity but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards preserving our mother nature. Van Mahotsav through this initiative became a meaningful and awakening event for all with the clear message that Van Mahotsav is not a day or week of celebration, it's something to carry throughout the journey of life to make it worth living.
CELEBRATING GREEN COLOUR DAY
Green colour denotes greenery , prosperity, fertility and our beautiful nature . Taking care of the environment is our responsibility. For this the tiny tots of Pre- Primary Classes celebrated GREEN COLOUR DAY to show their love and care for mother earth . Different activities were organised for the students of Classes Pre- Primary . Students of Pre -Nursery showcased their talent in COLOUR SORTING ACTIVITY (Green colour). *PICTURE RECOGNITION ACTIVITY was beautifully accomplished by the students of Class Nursery , along with vegetable printing. *INTERSECTION HINDI GROUP ELOCUTION on the topic पेड़ लगाओ, पेड़ बचाओ was enthusiastically performed by the students of different sections of Class KG. The main objective of all these activities under 🌳GREEN COLOUR DAY 🌳is to create awareness about the colour green, our earth 🌎 and to cherish the greenery we are blessed with . Participation of students was really praiseworthy.
VAN MAHOTSAV (Special Assembly)
'Van Mahotsav : sowing seed - sowing tomorrow '
A special assembly on 'VAN MAHOTSAV - THE FESTIVAL Of TREES ' was conducted by the students of Classes I - V of LPS, Primary Wing, South City on 6/7/24 in the school premises with the motto to spread the message of importance of tree plantation. A plothera of events flooded the stage beginning with the name of Almighty God followed by insightful thought, inspirational speech and amazing facts by the students of Classes III to V . A heart touching poem on trees was recited by the students of Classes I and II. A mesmerizing and riveting dance performance on melodious environmental songs in graceful outfits was also presented by the students of Classes III to V. Students were also followed the steps of dance number presented by dance teacher.The program culminated by the rendition of the National Anthem.
VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION (PLANTATION DRIVE)
Van Mahotsav Week is celebrated to raise awareness among individuals regarding the importance of trees and inspire citizens to plant more of them . Nowadays deforestation is an emerging concern and Van Mahotsav Week aims to combat the environmental imbalance caused due to this action .Under this LPS, Primary Wing,South City has organised a series of activities for the students of classes Pre Nursery - V. Keeping the spirit of Van Mahotsav alive with the ongoing tree plantation drive all across the country GREEN DRIVE (plantation) activity was held in the premises of Primary Wing on 5 th July for the students of Classes Pre Nursery - II in which students brought number of medicinal, flowering and ornamental plants. Students learnt various steps of planting and vowed to nurture the planted saplings and conserve them in their best possible ways . The zeal and enthusiasm of the children was worth watching.
READINESS PROGRAMME
The aim of the readiness programme is to prepare young children for the transition into formal schooling.It sets a strong foundation for their future educational experiences and supports their holistic development during this formative stage. The readiness programme( session- 2024-2025 ) for the students of Pre - Primary was taken up from 1st April to 8th April ,2024 where lots of activities were organised like welcoming the kids,making them explore school campus,hop in and out,fun with shapes, colouring,ring toss, bhelpuri making,groove and move and play with dough.Tiny tots have participated in all the activities with great zeal and enthusiasm that not only develops their interest in learning but also enables them to develop the qualities like self confidence,self expression, sharing, cooperation and accountability among them.
''WORLD RED CROSS DAY''
"World Red Cross Day, observed on May 8th every year, is a significant occasion that commemorates the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross movement. It serves as a reminder of the fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality upheld by the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies globally. At Lucknow Public School, Red Cross Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and with zest. The students of both the junior and senior wings came together to organize a special assembly, showcasing the importance of the day through a variety of activities. Through a small skit and a heartfelt poem, the students beautifully conveyed the essence and significance of World Red Cross Day. These initiatives not only raised awareness about humanitarian issues but also fostered a spirit of volunteerism and community engagement among the students. It provided a meaningful opportunity for them to learn about empathy, social responsibility, and the value of making positive contributions to society."
NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY DAY
*"Debate sharpens the mind, hones the wit, and strengthens the character."*
The academic debate competition held on 13th May at Lucknow, Public School South City, A- block, witnessed a gathering of sharp minds and fervent debaters from the senior secondary wing. The event aimed to cultivate critical thinking, articulate expressions, and respectful discourse among participants. Teams of four houses comprising two participants in each, took part in the competition with zest and fervour. The well-thought-out topic was "Has AI surpassed human intelligence?"* gave the participants a chance to demonstrate exceptional research skills and depth of knowledge supporting their arguments with credible evidence and logical reasons. A panel of experienced judges evaluated the debaters ensuring fairness, and integrity throughout the competition.
Out of all four teams, Manyata Srivastava of Karan House secured the first position, Alok Kumar of Bharat House secured second while Kriti Singh of Eklavya House and Anchal Bhardwaj of Dhruv House were awarded with third position. Overall, the debate competition served as a platform for students to engage in rigorous intellectual exchange, develop persuasive communication skills, and deepen their understanding of the complex interplay between AI and human intelligence. Their collective efforts and passion for debate enriched the educational experience.
FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION
'Father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.'
To acknowledge father's dedication , devotion and also the efforts made by them in raising and nurturing their families, Students of LPS South City , Primary Wing celebrated FATHER'S DAY with great enthusiasm by performing different activities like duet dancing / singing,thank you card making and badge making on 16.6.24. (Sunday) Students made beautiful cards , badges and wrote messages on them to express love, affection and respect. Not only this ,heart touching presentations were also sent to showcase their dancing and singing skills.Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
CELEBRATING WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY-PRIMARY WING
'As a step towards inspiring and educating children to take up the responsibility of their environment , WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY was celebrated by the students of LPS, Primary Wing ,South City through online mode on 5.6.24. (Wednesday) through different activities for the students of different classes. PLANT A SAPLING activity was performed by the students of Classes Pre- Nursery to II with the motive of keeping the environment clean and green. Tiny tots performed the activity with great fervour and enthusiasm.Students of class III performed the activity of BADGE MAKING through online mode on this occasion. Students have made different badges showing mother earth and trees.
SASH MAKING ACTIVITY was performed by the students of class IV.
Students have made beautiful sash and also wrote catchy slogans on environment /trees / nature. The three R's ( Reduce, Reuse , Recycle )are the foundations of environmental stewardship.Activity of RECYCLING OF OLD T-SHIRT INTO BAGS was organised for the students of class V where students recycle their old t-shirts into useful bags with the help of different decorative items.They all have participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in all activities.
MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
Lucknow Public School South City branch recently hosted a heartwarming Mother's Day celebration, bringing together students, teachers and mothers for a memorable event filled with love, appreciation and gratitude. The school premises were adorned with vibrant decorations. Mothers participated in engaging activities with their kids, like fireless Cooking , Antakshari, Rhymes, Aerobics and Menhdi art competitions. Delicious dishes were prepared and displayed by mothers. Mothers enjoyed refreshments while spending quality time with their children and fellow parents. The highlight of the celebration was the prize distribution and heartfelt messages expressed by Our respected principal sir, vice principal ma’am and headmistress ma’am. Parents also appreciated teacher’s hard work and efforts done to make the event successful. Winners were honoured by gifts and consolation prizes. The Mother's Day celebration at South City branch Lucknow Public School served as a beautiful reminder of expressing gratitude for their endless love and sacrifices.
CELEBRATING LABOUR DAY
' No work is insignificant'. Labour day is a day where workers or helpers can feel respected for the work that they have done all over the year. Labour Day * or *May Day observed on 1st May commemorates the historic struggle and gains made by the workers through the labour movement. LPS South City Primary Wing celebrated this day by organising a special assembly by the students of classes I and II including prayer, pledge, motivational thought, followed by INTER- SECTION FANCY DRESS COMPETITION that was actually a tribute to our society helpers. Additionally, group D workers were appreciated for their hard work with small token of gratitude from the tiny tots.
EARTH DAY ACTIVITY - PRIMARY WING
This day is a reminder of our responsibility to care for the Mother Earth and take action to address environmental challenges such as climate change, pollution, deforestation etc. Keeping this in view LPS South City , Primary wing organised some activities for the students of Classes III to V on 22.4.24. (Monday).

WORLD EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
As a part of the Earth Day celebration, a special assembly was conducted on 22nd April 2024, beginning with a morning prayer followed by thoughts and amazing facts. Students took a pledge to preserve and conserve the self-sustaining planet Earth. A soulful poem dedicated to our blue planet and to celebrate Mother Earth was recited by students of Class IX and X. A skit was organized touching upon the major issues such as excess use of plastic, depletion of Earth, etc. The main motto of the assembly was to inculcate the values and awareness related to their surroundings.
World Heritage Day - Primary Wing
Heritage day is the legacy which passes from one generation to another. WORLD HERITAGE DAY is celebrated on 24.04.2024 in the premises of Primary Wing ,South City to create awareness for the preservation of our great heritage. The Assembly commenced with the prayer followed by pledge, thought ,school song, word of the day. Special effect was given by the students of class I and II by telling about different monuments of our city Lucknow. Students participated with great zeal and their knowledge got enhanced.
World Heritage Day
The South City branch of Lucknow Public School celebrated World Heritage Day on April 20, 2024, with a series of house-wise activities. Among these activities was a table calendar competition, which engaged students from classes 9 to 12 across four houses: Bharat, Dhruva, Eklavya, and Karna. The competition was divided into two groups: one for students from classes 9 and 10, and the other for classes 11 and 12. Notable participants included Pari Gupta, Anandita, Tanya Sahu, and Avni Verma. The table calendars showcased iconic landmarks of Indian history, fostering creativity while also educating participants about their heritage. Mesmerizing dance performance by the students of classes III to V worked as icing on the cake. Candies were also distributed to the children of primary wing. The morning assembly was started with an almighty prayer followed by thought. A skit was organized to rejuvenate the memories and set about a fresh start. The welcome song energized the atmosphere of the assembly. For boosting the knowledge of students amazing facts were introduced. The assembly ended with an oath to aware the students about their responsibility.The main motto of this assembly was to embrace learning and nurture curiosity with fun and enjoyment.

Morning Assembly brings the entire school together as a family. Second Day Assembly was conducted by teachers of the Junior wing. The topic of the Assembly was Discipline. Assembly was started by seeking blessings of Almighty followed by ‘Thought’ and ‘Speech’. A special program was conducted in which teachers explained each and every alphabet of the word ‘DISCIPLINE’. At last, there was a quick booster quiz for the students accompanied by encouraging words from the Vice Principal. The Assembly was full of knowledge, entertainment, and joy.

Speech was also given by the teachers to make the children aware about the rules and regulations of the school . Steps of aerobics created an energetic aura and made the students happy. At last the Head Mistress welcomed all the old as well as new students.
